The University of Cape Coast (aka. Cape Vars) situated at Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana is a very popular school among people who aspire to become teachers because their education program is unmatched. They are also well known for the level of rigor they take students through thus preparing them adequately for industry and academia. Many other tertiary institutions also want to be affiliated to the University of Cape Coast because of the high level of excellence and the rigor associated with their curriculum.
Per regulations, all teacher training centres and colleges have to be affiliated to accredited public institutions to ensure optimization of teaching curricula. These teacher training schools decided to affiliate themselves with the University of Cape Coast.
